The who
Great music. Actually allow me to introduce myself.
We become what we are.
You can't judge a book by its cover but you can by its first few chapters,
and most certainly by its last.
Raymond Reddington
I grew up in the 60's. What a weird world where we went outside to see our friends. Telephone, WhatsApp... Far off in the distance.
Retirement is only a matter of months away. I don't consider this my last chapter; however I do wish to give back on a larger scale. Read on to the why down below.
The what
A Potpourri - A collection containing many different types of things - of philosophy, Zen, writing, takeaways from movies / music and how life can trip us up along the journey. What I've learned and what I'll be learning before I'm done. The beauty of a well made Lasagna.
The why
So many people have given so much to me along the way, let me payback and give someone something they need. If three readers takeaway something they need; that will be fulfillment enough for me.
The how
Here is Substack today. Tomorrow, who can tell. I hope Substack keeps moving according to their Vision.
Of course, you give more in person than you can here but that's on a smaller scale.
The when
There are 3 types of writers;
The prolific writer
They produce an abundance of extremely interesting content
It appears as if they publish something every few days
The average writer
I'm uncertain about average or normal
They plug away, publishing not as often as the prolific
They are nonetheless pretty consistent in their writing habit
They are mostly worth reading
The writer
This is me.
They struggle to get their ass in the chair and get through the first draft.
They often can't keep up a schedule (Publish once a week)
They have awards hanging on their wall - Best procrastinator…
My goal dear reader is to publish once a week, but I know better than to make promises. Still, it is a good thing to write it and publish it and let your readers hold you responsible.
The YOU
What about you? Where are you in life, why do you read my words and what would you like to hear about? That's what the comments are for. 👍😁
Love anything and everything you write. It all makes a person think about ourselves Keep up the good work
